SAPUTARA - the only hill station of Gujarat
Saputara is a city and a hill station in the Dang district of Gujarat state in India. Saputara is the only hill destination in Gujarat at a distance of only 4 km from the Maharashtra border.
Saputara signifies the Adobe of Serpents, which is an image of snake on the river bank of Sarpagana and worshiped on festivals such as Holi by the tribals.

Saputara Lake - Saputara Lake is the major attraction of
tourists in this hill station. There is a Boat Club here from where
you can hire sailboats, paddleboats and rowing boats and enjoy
boating in the lake. The Sun Rise and Sun Set Points provide
landscape and varied views of the sun. Sunrise Point - It is a point which offers the best view of Saputara and adjoining Malegoan could be reached after a walk of 1.5 km in the direction of Waghai.
Vansda National park - Originally, a private forest of maharaja of Vansada, the park now covers on area of 24 sq km. Despite its small size the park harbours tiger, leopard, pangolin, Rusty-spotted Cat, python, giant squirrel, four-horned antelope etc.
Purna Sanctuary - Covering an area of 160 km², Purna Sanctuary is a part of a dense moist deciduous forest in the Western Ghat of Gujarat. Situated at Mahal, 60 km north of Dangs, the sanctuary is crossed by Purna and Gira rivers.
Rose Garden - This is a beautiful garden which has different species and variety of roses.
Gira falls - Makes an excellent excursion option from Saputara. Just 52 km away from Saputara on Waghai Road the Gira Waterfalls should not be missed especially during the months of June to November.
